Glacier Trekking

High alpine glacial walks are a wonderful way to discover the Alps in the summer.

Glacier treks move from hut to hut, enjoying some of the most spectacular scenery to be found in the European Alps!
I offer various glacier treks in summer including the classic Chamonix – Zermatt – ‘The Haute Route’, Monte Rosa and the Bernese Overland.

Bernese Oberland

Dates: Glacier trekking is available between June and September. High level routes are ideally done between July and September.

Level: To take part in one of these treks you should be able to walk for up to 6-8 hours a day carrying a moderately heavy rucksack. These treks are not very difficult technically speaking, but you do need to be roped together when crossing glaciers.

Included in the trek fee:

  • Guiding and instruction from the IFMGA certified mountain guide.

Not included:

  • Clients personal equipment
  • Accommodation – I will book the refuges
  • Transport –
  • Meals and drinks.
  • The guide’s accommodation and meals when not based in the Chamonix valley.
